Jane and Keith extend a very warm welcome and provide many little touches that make you feel that you are a friend rather than a guest. Fabulous breakfast, huge grounds in which to wander, comfortable rooms and ample parking makes Swallows Rest my favourite place to stay in the Weymouth area.

We had a really lovely stay at Swallows Rest. We were made so welcome & the homemade cake on arrival & on our return from our day's out made it extra special. Jane did lots of little extra touches that added to our enjoyment. We also loved the pigs, they were great fun!

Lovely position, good for coastal walks, bird watching - there were indeed losts of swallows resting before migration drinking from the pond in the garden. We particularly enjoyed meeting the friendly pig that liked having his back scratched! The staff were very welcoming. The tea and home made cakes on arrival were great. We walked to the Crab House cafe where you can eat locally grown oysters.
The duvet supplied was too hot for the weather

The welcome and friendliness of the hosts. Greeting with refreshments including cake and supplying small cakes and chocolate in the room each day was above our expectations and a very nice thought, it added that little extra touch that makes you feel special. Loved the swallows, the varied variety of birds at the bird table just outside the patio doors of the dining room, the chickens, two pigs and most of all the fabulous view of the sea and Portland Island. Being our Ruby Wedding Anniversary it was a nostalgic trip across the Island visiting where we used to live many years ago.
Most of the rooms are ensuite but the couple in the next room to us had the sole use of the bathroom situated opposite our door. Lovely couple but trailed off to the bathroom three or four times during the night. Just one of those things, not an actual complaint.

Jane Furlong could not have been more helpful in accommodating our need for early access to our rooms. She is an excellent hostess providing a first rate service to her guests. The accommodation was very comfortable with excellent views over Chesil Beach and Portland and is set in very beautiful grounds. The lounge and dining area is spacious and attractive and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options from which to choose. Tea, coffee and cakes were also available in the room. All in all, great value and great service.
