Every moment at Swallows Rest felt special. I was warmly greeted by Jane, who offered tea and homemade cake in the garden upon arrival. The gardens were lively, filled with chickens, ducks, and even some friendly goats. My room provided a fantastic view of the sea and garden, with ample space to relax. Each day started with an exceptional breakfast featuring fresh eggs from the farm, homemade granola, and a delicious cooked breakfast. I particularly loved the unique experience of having daily homemade cakes in the room after our outings. the room did get a bit warm at night. a fan would have been appreciated. Despite this small inconvenience, the overall stay left me eager to return.

We had an amazing stay with our kids near the South West Coast Path. The place had all the amenities for a family getaway, including a cozy room and a great kitchen. Watching the animals and enjoying the local beaches made it even better.
My kids wished for a play area outside.

A delightful escape in Weymouth
We were warmly welcomed by the owners, who made our stay feel special with little touches like homemade cake in our room. The breakfast was exceptional, featuring delicious locally sourced ingredients and fresh eggs from their friendly chickens. The views from our room over the vibrant garden towards the sea made mornings utterly delightful. Strolling through their well-maintained grounds, interacting with the animals was a highlight — seeing the new goats was an unexpected treat!
Unfortunately, the only downside was that our stay felt too short. I could have easily enjoyed several more days in such a beautiful and relaxing environment.

The cozy lounge was perfect for unwinding with a great movie and the hot tub was inviting after a long day out. The only downside was that the room could use a bit of modernizing, but it didn’t take away from our experience—definitely recommend checking it out for some relaxation! 😊
